About The Position

Texas Health Frisco is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its NICU. The role is based at Texas Health Frisco in Frisco, Texas, and works 36 hours per week on a 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. schedule. The NICU is part of a new hospital with a strong team culture, uses a Couplet Care Model, and averages 120 births per month. The nurse delivers patient care using the Nursing Process, incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures, responds to patients’ and significant others’ information needs, and maintains continuity of care between shifts and hospitals, including while arranging out-of-hospital transfers. Texas Health Frisco is a 93-bed acute-care, full-service hospital and medical office community specializing in women’s services, outpatient surgery, NICU, and emergency medicine.

Requirements

Diploma in Nursing or an associate degree from an accredited nursing program required.
One year of experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required before providing independent care and maintained quarterly.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required within 90 days.
NRPA (Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required within 90 days.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention Training) required within 90 days and maintained annually.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.
