About The Position

NYC Joint & Spine Center is a leading outpatient surgical facility focused on orthopedic, spine, plastics, podiatry and total joint care. With two well-equipped operating rooms and a collaborative clinical environment, our team delivers efficient, patient-centered care for individuals seeking high-quality surgical treatment close to home. Location is in partnership with Compass Surgical Partners, an ASC Management organization. The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and OR patient care at NYC Joint and Spine. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current NJ RN license (unencumbered)
• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
• Current BLS
• ACLS required within 6 months
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse, supporting patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff during procedures
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with aseptic and surgical standards
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to aseptic and surgical standards
• Support patient education and post-op instructions
