About The Position

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including; but not limited to orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine. This is a Part-Time Day position with 12-hour shifts from 9 am to 9:30 pm. This position takes call with a 30-minute call-back requirement.

Requirements

• 1 year applicable experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process.
• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
