RN Weekend Only Nights 2F Step Down ICU
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2F Step-Down ICU at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) working nights (7pm-7am) exclusively on weekends (Friday/Saturday). The role involves direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet patient, family, and co-worker needs. The Step-Down ICU is a 16-bed intermediate care unit for patients with septic and respiratory compromise, as well as various other diagnoses. Nurses will manage multiple drips and specialized procedures, working closely with an interdisciplinary team. This unit is ideal for developing assessment skills and building a foundation for ICU nursing.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Step-Down ICU setting.
- Experience managing multiple drips and specialized procedures.
- Experience working with septic and respiratory compromised patients.
- Experience with CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis, AMS patients.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
