About The Position

Individuals in this job classification are accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards to deliver efficient, effective, quality patient care. The Registered Nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned unit, including knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to assess and interpret patient-status data to identify age-specific needs.

The RN plans for patient care, including developing, modifying, and implementing the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC standards and Patient Care policies and procedures. The RN is expected to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Requirements

• Associate degree (2-year).
• Current Oklahoma RN license.
• BLS certification.
• 1–3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards.
• Provide care appropriate to the ages and age-specific needs of patients on the assigned unit.
• Develop, modify, and implement plans of care in accordance with OSUMC standards and Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Comply with the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
