About The Position

The Registered Nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care. This position is full-time on the Labor and Delivery unit, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on a 12-hour, three-day night shift. Days of work vary.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current additional certifications as required by the department.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery registered nurse experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
