Casual Registered Nurse – Christmas, New Year & Beyond Flexible shifts. Familiar faces. Care that matters. UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Registered Nurses across Orange for Christmas, New Year and beyond. These are direct UPA employment opportunities—not agency placements. You’ll also play an important role in providing clinical guidance and support to the wider care team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Hold a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
• At least 12 months’ post-registration experience
• A compassionate, respectful and resident-focused approach to nursing
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Communicate confidently with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable and comfortable responding to available casual shifts
• Hold current Australian working rights
• Can work across a range of days and shift times

Nice To Haves

• Previous residential aged-care experience
• Experience with LeeCare or Medsig
• Current First Aid & CPR

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, person-centred nursing care within your RN scope of practice
• Completing clinical assessments and identifying residents’ changing care needs
• Developing and contributing to individual care plans
• Providing clinical support, advice and guidance to Personal Care Workers and the wider care team
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
• Responding appropriately to changes in residents’ health and escalating concerns where required
• Supporting medication management in line with UPA policies and clinical requirements
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, medical professionals and other health professionals
• Providing clinical supervision and supporting employees to maintain appropriate clinical competencies
• Contributing to quality improvement, infection control and safe clinical practice
