About The Position
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Virtual Interview Day on June 16th, 2026, for the NICU Complex Infant Lung and Airway Disease Unit. This specialized, 15-bed unit provides exceptional, family-centered care to technology-dependent infants under two years of age who require ongoing chronic airway and respiratory support. The role involves caring for infants with complex diagnoses such as Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) and Pulmonary Hypertension, managing advanced respiratory support, administering IV drips, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Requirements
- LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
- 1 year of experience

Responsibilities
- Care for infants with complex diagnoses, including Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) and Pulmonary Hypertension.
- Manage advanced respiratory support and technology-dependent patients.
- Safely administer and monitor multiple IV drips.
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care and education.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.
- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
