About The Position

The Registered Nurse will enhance the doctor/patient relationship within the Midland Health healthcare offices by exhibiting professional nursing judgment and skills.

Requirements

Current Texas professional RN license
1-2 years of nursing practice
Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality
Knowledge of EHR reporting and records
Ability to appropriately assess and assist
Ability to use universal precautions, safe workplace and confidentiality methods
Ability to appropriately chart patient data
Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

An additional one to two years office experience

Responsibilities

Assume an organizational and leadership position, and encourage an optimum environment among fellow employees of: communication, performance, teamwork, and customer service.
Effectively delegate work and manage delegated work to completion.
Triage and assess patients.
Prepare patients for examination and testing.
Document patient communication and circumstance.
Administer medications, treatments, or testing as directed by NP, PA or Physician.
Inform and/or advise patients of results, doctor's advice or required treatment/appointment.
Respond to patients needs for education, doctor referrals, refill of medications.
Continual assessment of the office environment relating to patients and co-workers; organization, cleanliness, privacy, security, and safety.
Manage medical supplies, instruments, and equipment including proper storage, cleaning and monitoring requirements for operation.
Maintain a professional attitude and work attire and adhere to office policies.
