About The Position
The Registered Nurse, Oncology at Endeavor Health Cancer Center in Plainfield, IL is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The role involves independently providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients on a specific unit. The nurse will utilize the nursing process for patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Additionally, the position requires guiding and directing unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care, and contributing positively to safety outcomes and patient experience.
Requirements
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
- Associate's in Nursing, required.
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required
- If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred
- OCN/ONS provider card preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
