About The Position

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse (RN) at University Hospital in Madison, WI. This 60% FTE position involves two 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with one 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM shift every three weeks. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. You will collaborate with qualified providers and technical staff using state-of-the-art technology in various modalities including procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology (Body and Neuro), Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal. The role involves participation in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching/learning culture. Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire
  • ACLS within 6 months
  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit (for Inpatient Units and Central Float, Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory)
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience (for eICU)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Relevant RN Experience (Preferred)
  • Relevant certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in various modalities including: procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology Body, Interventional Radiology Neuro, Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal.
  • Collaborate with exceptionally qualified providers and technical staff using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Be actively involved in cutting edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
  • Engage in the teaching and learning culture, seeking to understand both problems and solutions.
