About The Position

Registered Nurse working in the Cath Lab, with EP experience strongly preferred. This is a 4x10 day-shift assignment at an acute hospital. The nurse may float within their scope to EP or IR to meet facility needs. On-call coverage is required one day per week and on the fourth or fifth weekend, from Friday at 1800 to Monday at 0730. Weekend work also includes on-call coverage and approximately one scheduled Saturday per month. Block scheduling is not accommodated. Local candidates are not accepted; the candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Pending Alaska licenses are accepted, but an Alaska RN license must be in hand for an auto offer. Time-off requests are reviewed individually upon offer, with a limit of one request per 13-week assignment. The assignment guarantees 70 hours per two weeks; the traveler may be called off for one 10-hour shift per two weeks.

The facility is an acute hospital and Magnet facility, a Level II trauma center, and identified as a U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital in Alaska. It has 407 staffed beds. Scrubs are provided, charting is done in Epic, and parking is free.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• Alaska RN license; a pending license is accepted, but the license must be in hand for an auto offer.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Ability to meet the facility's requirement that the candidate's permanent address be at least 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities
