About The Position

Harborview Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its outstanding ICU Teams. These teams have received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence and Magnet recognition by the ANCC. Several ICU units have openings, including the Cardiac ICU/Mixed ICU (2EH ICU), the Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU (9EH ICU), and the Critical Care Float Pool. The Medical ICU (7MB ICU), Trauma Surgical ICU (9MB ICU), and Neurosciences ICU (2WH ICU) may have future openings. The Critical Care Float Pool positions require a minimum of 3 years of ICU RN work experience and may involve floating to the ED, PACU, and acute care areas.

Responsibilities

Provide critical care management to patients in various ICU settings, including Cardiac ICU/Mixed ICU, Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU, and potentially float to other ICUs, ED, and PACU.
Care for critically ill patients with conditions such as cardiac disease, multi-system organ failure, gastrointestinal disease, blood infections/sepsis, cancer, lung disease, kidney disease, liver disease, multi-system traumatic injuries, neurological deficits, and injuries.
Manage patients with challenges in respiratory, thoracic, vascular, neurologic, and orthopedic care.
Provide critical care management to multi-service adult patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses and trauma injuries.
Care for adult burn patients and pediatric burn and trauma patients.
Provide specialized intensive nursing care to patients with complex neurological deficits and injuries.
Float among ICUs, the ED, and PACU as needed for Critical Care Float Pool RNs.
