Registered Nurse - Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital - NICU - FT Nights
About The Position
This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICN) at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. The NICN provides critical, life-saving newborn care and is a level IV NICU with 53 licensed beds, serving as the referral center for the region. They care for the most acutely ill and vulnerable patients, including premature newborns with complicated heart disease and babies with every neonatal condition. The hospital offers an in-depth onboarding process for those without previous NICU experience. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, and using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of pediatric in-patient RN experience is preferred.
