Registered Nurse - Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital - Vascular Access Team - FT Nights
About The Position
Registered Nurse (RN) who will form a part of the Pediatric Vascular Access Team (VAT/IV Team) covering a variety of areas throughout Levine Children’s Hospital, both inpatient and outpatient. Services include peripheral IV (PIV) insertions, ultrasound-guided PIVs, midlines insertions, central line repairs and port access/deaccess (includes Power Ports and Apheresis Ports). Pediatric VAT teammates work primarily with pediatric patients across a level I trauma center. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
- At least 6 months required experience to come in outside of the New Grad residency program.
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
