About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides operating room and perioperative nursing care in Carbondale, Illinois. The role includes perioperative patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and coordination with the surgical team. Epic is used for electronic medical records. This is a 13-week contract with three 12-hour shifts per week and 36 guaranteed hours weekly. An on-call rotation is required as scheduled. Block scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed, and holiday coverage is not required. The posting lists weekly gross pay of $2,000 to $2,200 and a blended hourly rate of $55 to $60.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 2 years of recent operating room or perioperative nursing experience.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong surgical nursing assessment, clinical judgment, patient-safety, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative patient assessment.
