About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse who will independently perform the functions of direct patient care. You will utilize the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care. You will also work in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs. As a PRN member of our nursing staff, you are an important part of our team that provides quality care and great service. Participants are considered temporary employees without benefits, and do not qualify for shift differentials. Staffing is based on the current census and staff may be cancelled or flexed when census goes down. Temporary PRN staff will be cancelled before full-time and part-time regular staff. Attend mandatory in-services, meetings, and classes. Floating will be done by Hospital Policy.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum of 2 years’ recent acute care hospital experience.
Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
Current AHA BLS Certification.
Current AHA ACLS Certification.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Basic computer knowledge.
Proficient in interpreting EKG.

Nice To Haves

Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master’s degree)
Current AHA PALS or ENPC CPI Certification within 6 months of hire
Additional languages preferred.
