About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME Full-time | Nights | 7p–7a | 12-Hour Shifts We welcome new graduate RNs and offer a structured residency program, hands-on training, and dedicated preceptor support to build confidence and clinical skills. New Grad Residency Program Skills training & ongoing education Career growth opportunities The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) within the Medical-Surgical unit. Responsible for direct patient care, care coordination, and clinical assessment in an acute care environment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for assigned Medical-Surgical patients
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patient condition and response to treatment
• Communicate changes in condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per orders
• Provide patient and family education and guide nursing support staff
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
