About The Position

The Registered Nurse is accountable during the shift for providing care to patients in the Emergency Room using the Nursing Process and following the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to anticipate and plan for safe patient care in the Emergency Department. The nurse maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff, and directs and supervises assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process and in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.
