Requirements

  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one (1) year
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions
  • Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening may be required
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance, may be required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, observe changes in condition, and document care in approved systems
  • Develop care plans, coordinate implementation with staff, and revise plans based on resident response
  • Dispense medications, ensure proper administration by qualified personnel, and maintain accurate medication records
  • Relay important information to supervisors, participate in rounds and meetings, and support communication among staff, residents, and families
  • Conduct audits, follow regulatory standards, support QAPI efforts, and take corrective action on safety concerns
  • Provide guidance to subordinates, teach procedures, evaluate performance, and assist with staffing needs
