Requirements

Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one (1) year
Must be able to perform essential job functions
Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening may be required
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance, may be required

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments, observe changes in condition, and document care in approved systems
Develop care plans, coordinate implementation with staff, and revise plans based on resident response
Dispense medications, ensure proper administration by qualified personnel, and maintain accurate medication records
Relay important information to supervisors, participate in rounds and meetings, and support communication among staff, residents, and families
Conduct audits, follow regulatory standards, support QAPI efforts, and take corrective action on safety concerns
Provide guidance to subordinates, teach procedures, evaluate performance, and assist with staffing needs
