About The Position

Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and families. Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team, participates in resolving variances from patient goals, and ensures solutions are implemented. The role is in Unit 2600, a Medical/Telemetry Unit providing care to a wide variety of medical-surgical patients, with and without telemetry needs. The unit has eight private beds.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
