About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical/Telemetry unit. This is a full-time position working every weekend on day shifts. The role involves managing a diverse adult patient population with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position emphasizes strong interdisciplinary collaboration, professional autonomy, and a culture that values bedside nursing expertise. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overseeing the overall care of patients. Requirements
- RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
- BLS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire
- RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN

- Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
- Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation.
- Ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
