About The Position
The same day surgery nurse oversees and directs the care of pre- and post-surgical patients of all ages and is responsible for patients across all surgical specialties. The nurse assesses overall anesthesia recovery and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an NLN-approved program.
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Valuable time management skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Previous nursing experience.
