About The Position
The same day surgery nurse oversees and directs the care of pre- and post-surgical patients of all ages and is responsible for patients across all surgical specialties. The nurse assesses patients’ overall recovery from anesthesia and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an NLN-approved program.
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Valuable time-management skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Previous nursing experience.
