About The Position

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to impact patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. The RN uses the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department's scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the interprofessional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

This position is in the Renal & Renal Transplant department at Miami Valley Hospital. It is a full-time night position, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for 72 hours per pay period.

Requirements

• Associate degree; graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with nursing as the area of study.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Current healthcare provider BLS certification required before completion of orientation.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• BSN completion or professional certification may be required.
