About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL. This is a full-time Day shift opportunity. Scheduled shift 7:00am-7:00pm The Emergency Department at Baptist Emergency at St. Augustine provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about emergency medicine, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care. Baptist Health’s care for the community spans generations. Requirements
- 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Nice To Haves

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, NIHSS
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with emergent conditions
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Coordinate care with ancillary services to support optimal outcomes
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and satisfaction
- Participate in unit-based initiatives and continuous quality improvement
