About The Position

BAYADA Home Health is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse, RN, for a position on-call and performing emergency night home health visits if needed. This office services our adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis throughout Hudson County, NJ. This is a full-time compensation and benefits position, but you only work 26 weeks out of the year. The schedule is rotating, with on-call duties from 5pm to 8:30am, alternating one week on and one week off, starting Wednesday to Tuesday each week. Prior home care experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse in NJ.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

Nice To Haves

• Prior home care experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories after business hours and during the weekend days and evenings.
• Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures and comfort care.
• Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
• Performing client assessments as necessary.
