About The Position
At St. Croix Hospice, the Registered Nurse On-Call plays a vital role in their 24/7 care model, providing timely, skilled, and compassionate care during evenings, nights, and weekends. The role involves responding to urgent patient needs and completing evening/weekend admissions, guiding families through critical moments with reassurance and expertise. The position offers a unique 7 days on/7 days off overnight schedule, providing both flexibility and fulfillment, allowing for meaningful impact while balancing work and life. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates, Bachelors, or Masters)
- 1+ years of recent acute care experience required
- Current RN license in state of practice
- CPR certification
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Nice To Haves
- hospice or home care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates
- Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, offering education and support to patients and caregivers
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care, outcomes, and communication
