About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. The role focuses on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong clinical judgment. RNs actively involve patients and their families in the care process while fostering a supportive, professional environment aligned with organizational values of excellence, accountability, and innovation. This position is in the Cardiac ICU/IMC and is full-time on nights. The RN works collaboratively to provide safe, continuous care and support professional nursing practice.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- RNs hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire.
- Professional nursing board certification is required within 2 years of hire, or when eligible if eligibility requires more than 2 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred at time of hire.
- Professional nursing board certification preferred at hire.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status and identify actual and potential health concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based practices.
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes.
- Engage patients and families as active participants in care planning and delivery.
- Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality.
- Delegate and supervise care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP).
- Promote a positive unit culture and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Uphold standards of patient advocacy, safety, and clinical excellence.
