About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Registered Nurse assists in coordinating mother-baby patient care and education. This role involves utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) for patient care and providing clinical leadership for other staff. The position is full-time, 36-40 hours per week, with a schedule that may vary, including 12-hour shifts and a rotating schedule covering both OB and MedSurg units. Shared call duties are also part of the role. This is a non-exempt, hourly, union-benefited position.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required.
  • Current BLS required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS, NRP, STABLE and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification as soon as available after hire.
  • Acute and Post Partum unit check off required after hire.
  • PALS certification encouraged.
  • At least one (1) year of acute clinical experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellence in obstetrical nursing skills and patient care.

  • Maintaining open and effective communication with co-workers, physicians, and management staff.
