About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and records patient conditions, and communicates updates as appropriate. The nurse coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

The position is based at ASV Clay in Brazil, Indiana, and is scheduled full time on nights.

Requirements

• Indiana Board of Nursing Registered Nurse credential obtained before the hire or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• At least one of the following: Advanced Life Support obtained within 180 days of the hire or job transfer date, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained before the hire or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
