About The Position

Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a Limited Term Employee (LTE) Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join its pool nursing team within the Outpatient Behavioral Health and Substance Use Services Clinic. This is an ongoing assignment, working approximately 8 hours per week, with potential for additional hours. The clinic is located at the Waukesha County Human Services Center and operates Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The primary focus of this role is to provide nursing support for clients receiving psychiatric prescribing services within the Waukesha County DHHS outpatient services array. Requirements

• Graduation from a recognized registered nursing education program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin. OR Temporary State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse permit and attainment of the Registered Nurse license within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support for clients receiving psychiatric prescribing services.
• Administer injectable psychotropic medication.
• Perform vitals assessment.
• Provide health education.
• Conduct urine drug screens.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and psychiatric prescribers.
• Perform order entry.
• Triage client inquiries regarding symptoms or medication needs.
• Perform other nursing duties as identified.
