About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Oakleaf in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time opportunity. This emergency center provides convenient access to high-quality care for a rapidly growing community. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to patient-centered care. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Requirements

  • 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)
  • Telemetry Experience (required)
  • Hospital Experience (required)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
  • Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
  • CEN, TNCC, NIHSS (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients with medical and emergent conditions
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses and care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Coordinate care with ancillary services
  • Serve as a patient advocate
  • Participate in unit initiatives and meetings
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
