About The Position

Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Hospice is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse, RN, for a position on-call and performing emergency night visits if needed. This office services our hospice clients throughout Bucks County, Montgomery County, and Northeast Philadelphia. The position is for every other week, 26 weeks per year (but paid for 52 weeks), weekdays Monday-Friday 5:00 pm – 8:30 am and 24 hours on Saturdays & Sundays with premium pay. This offers full-time compensation and benefits while only working 26 weeks out of the year. Prior home care, hospice, or acute care experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Active and current license to practice as a professional registered nurse (RN) in the state of STATE
• One year of clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned
• A calm and reassuring presence, active listening skills, excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• The ability to deliver patient care as you would want those you love to be treated, with compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous home healthcare experience welcomed, but not required. We will train you.

Responsibilities

• Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures and comfort care.
• Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
• Occasional on call after hours and/or weekends
