Registered Nurse (RN), Full Time Hospice On Call Runner

About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an on-call position, providing emergency overnight hospice visits as needed. This role supports clients on a per-visit basis throughout Windsor, Orange, and Grafton counties in VT and NH. The schedule offers a unique rotating system: on-call from 5:00 PM to 8:30 AM, one week on and one week off. Employees receive full-time compensation and benefits while working only 26 weeks per year, promoting work-life balance.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience
- Solid computer skills; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
- Ability to travel to assigned cases
Nice To Haves
- Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories after business hours and on weekends
- Perform assigned duties, including medication administration, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care
- Monitor client conditions and report changes to the Clinical or Client Services Manager
- Follow up on and properly document physicians’ orders
- Perform client assessments as needed
