About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for outpatient services at its Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, Indiana. The role provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients and their families. Nurses assess patients, develop plans of care, implement them, and reassess and evaluate each patient. The position is based in a 27-room outpatient service center with typical patient ratios of 1:2. A PRN day shift is available, and travel is never or rarely required. Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing/Patient Care required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- If the nursing education is a diploma, five years of experience is required, including an active RN license and recent 3–5 years of acute care experience.
- Unit-specific certifications are required if required by the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association is required if required by the unit.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics is required if required by the unit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Patient Care preferred.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and listen to their concerns.
- Develop plans of care for patients.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's plan of care.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
