About The Position
The Clare, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Chicago's Gold Coast area, is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for their Skilled Nursing Care Unit. This role involves providing direct nursing care, supervising CNAs, managing resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, administering medications and treatments, and maintaining accurate charting. The position requires a commitment to high standards of resident care and immediate response to crises. The community emphasizes a blend of healthcare and hospitality for seniors.
Requirements
- Current nursing license valid in Illinois
- CPR certified
- Weekend availability REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Greater than 2 years clinical experience preferred
- One-year long term care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to the residents.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities performed by the CNAs to ensure a high degree of quality care.
- Responsible for admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
- Administers medications and treatments.
- Maintains proper charting for the unit in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations and department policies and procedures.
- Maintains a high standard of resident care.
- Responds immediately to all crisis and/or calls for assistance.
- Assists in maintaining the facility’s and Nursing Service’s philosophy through quality nursing care.
