About The Position

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us provide professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility. This role involves administering medications/treatments as ordered by the physician, taking telephone orders, transcribing orders, maintaining and ordering resident medications and medical stock supplies, and conducting accurate physical assessments of residents to determine their needs and implement appropriate interventions. The role also includes performing assessments on admission, transfer, and/or discharges.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.
  • Administer medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
  • Take telephone orders from physicians and transcribe orders to new medication administration record, the pre-printed physician order sheet, resident chart, treatment/care plans as appropriate.
  • Maintain & order appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.
  • Conduct accurate physical assessments of residents, determine their needs and implement appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
  • Perform assessments on admission, transfer and/or discharges.
