Registered Nurse Women's Health Full Time Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works on the Women’s Health Unit, a 24-bed unit with all private rooms that provides care for women. Patients include those undergoing gynecological surgery, medical/surgical treatment, bariatric surgery, mastectomy, or cosmetic surgery, as well as postpartum patients who have chosen adoption for their baby and patients who have experienced stillbirth or miscarriage. The Registered Nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned patient, regardless of age, from infancy through geriatric care, in accordance with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The role promotes positive patient outcomes and quality patient care, and contributes to a healthy professional practice environment through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Kentucky nursing license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Women's Health or Medical Surgical experience is preferred; new graduate nurses are welcome.
