Registered Nurse Women's Health Full Time Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works on the Women’s Health Unit, a 24-bed unit with all private rooms serving women. Patients include those having gynecological surgery, medical/surgical care, post-surgical bariatric care, mastectomy care, and cosmetic surgery. The unit also cares for postpartum patients who choose adoption for their baby and patients who have experienced stillbirth or miscarriage. The nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned patient, from infancy through geriatric age, and provides care consistent with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and quality care, and contributes to a healthy professional practice environment through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Kentucky nursing license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Women’s Health or Medical Surgical experience is preferred; new graduate nurses are welcome.
