About The Position

Overture Home Care is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Dallas area. This full-time opportunity involves providing exceptional care and support to seniors in their homes, with a focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care, hospice support, and general geriatric care. The RN will collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and the care management team to ensure high-quality, individualized care, upholding Overture Home Care's core values of Dignity, Discretion, and Patience.

Requirements

• Full, active license as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of two years related work experience in a geriatric healthcare setting.
• Flexibility as needed when it comes to assessments and scheduling trainings.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Initiative, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Clinical skills: documentation of care, medication administration, infection control precautions, assessing patient educational needs, physical assessment, obtaining vital signs, care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic nursing procedures, including administration of medications and fluids, and other nursing procedures applicable to the area of assignment and/or type of patients.
• Training caregiving staff on RN delegated care.
• Assessing patient needs, developing, and implementing an effective individualized plan of care/plan of treatment.
• Observing, reporting, and documenting any change in patient's condition, giving significant observations, nursing intervention, and action following nursing procedure.
• Completing required reports and client assessments as directed.
