About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner, using and promoting evidence-based standards for quality, safety, and service.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of required experience.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• RNs hired after the specified facility-specific dates with an associate degree must complete a BSN within three years of their hire date.
• Complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• Department standards may require ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or an ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
