About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position on 5 Main is a full-time role within the Medical/Surgical IU unit, specializing in orthopedic and multiple trauma injuries. This unit offers a fast-paced environment and is considered an excellent starting point for a nursing career, providing a strong foundation in high-energy trauma care. The unit maintains patient ratios of approximately 1:5, with support from clinical technicians and an engaged management team. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards. RNs will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills.
