About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Freestanding ED - Nine Mile at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida. This PRN role has a rotating schedule. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and records patient condition, and communicates updates as appropriate. The nurse coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and collaborates with the healthcare team on patient discharge planning.
Requirements
- Hold a Registered Nurse license from the Florida Board of Nursing, or a current home-state license recognized through the Nurse Licensure Compact, before the hire or job transfer date.
- Obtain a Basic Life Support Provider credential or Basic Life Support Instructor credential within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
- Obtain an Advanced Life Support credential or Advanced Cardio Life Support Instructor credential within 180 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
- Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or the required professional licensure at the time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor and record patient condition and communicate updates as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
