About The Position

The Registered Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics. This position is in the 36-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) on the third floor of Parkview Regional Medical Center. The unit cares for patients with critical acuity, including those with pneumonia, flu, COPD, and cardiac arrest.

Requirements

Diploma in nursing or an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license.
CPR certification.
Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds; lifting requirements may be heavier in specified departments.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
