About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in Cardiac Services | Cardiovascular at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, Indiana. This PRN day position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts in a six-week period. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient conditions, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse credential obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
- At least 2 years of current cardiac nursing experience in a high-acuity inpatient hospital.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
