RN Med Surg Oncology Palliative Care
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. The nurse reviews and documents care provided, patient outcomes, and evaluations of care, while following professional standards. The role applies evidence, professional standards, best practices, critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices to bedside caregiving. The nurse prioritizes care according to changing patient assessments and needs and maintains ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments. This position is part-time, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the 4 North Tower Medical Surgical, Oncology and Palliative Care unit. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered to external candidates.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.
