About The Position

The Emergency Room Nurse provides care to patients who need immediate medical assistance, including those with potentially life-threatening injuries or illnesses. The role requires strong communication and multitasking skills. The Emergency Department is a 42-bed, full-service Level II Trauma Center that treats nearly 58,000 patients annually and includes pediatric emergency, psychiatric, and intermediate-care services. Nurses work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide emergency care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse license or Compact State License in New Hampshire.
• BLS certification during orientation and employment.
• Obtain ACLS within six months of hire.
• Obtain PALS within one year of hire.
• Crisis management certification.
• Obtain CPI Advanced within six months of hire.
• Obtain TNCC within one year of hire.
• Pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering specialty practice.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of recent clinical experience preferred.
• ENPC encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and provide critical care.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Work as part of a team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Create patient care plans and maintain accurate medical records.
