About The Position

Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Irving as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. We foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes Medical/Cardiac patients with conditions such as Sepsis, Post Ablation, Insulin Drips, Cardiac Drips, COVID, Acute Cardiac and Neuro Admitting Patients. The patient ratios are 1:4, and the unit has 22 beds. Our unit is team-centered, positive, supportive, and strives for excellence and development, promoting each nurse to the height of their abilities and ambition. Each shift provides something different, making this the perfect unit to develop as a nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• 1yr PCU RN experience
• RN – Registered Nurse license
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Medical/Cardiac patients including Sepsis, Post Ablation, Insulin Drips, Cardiac Drips, COVID, Acute Cardiac and Neuro Admitting Patients.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4.
• Contribute to a team-centered, positive, and supportive unit environment.
• Strive for excellence and development, promoting personal and professional growth.
