About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department Observation Unit. The role is 36 hours per week, working day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., typically three 12-hour shifts per week. The schedule rotates every fourth weekend, with holidays as required. The position is benefit eligible. The RN is responsible and accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge. As an on-shift team member, the nurse provides direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department. It cares for patients expected to remain in the hospital for less than 24 hours, including patients with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. A provider is available in the unit from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day to support care. New graduate RNs are welcome. Baptist Health Floyd is a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization. Requirements

Current Indiana or compact-state RN license.
BLS for healthcare providers.
ACLS for healthcare providers, obtained within 12 months of hire.
